BATON ROUGE, La – Most LSU fans think of a Saturday night in Death Valley when you mention college athletics to them, but a group of students is working to change that to a day at the track.
Dillon Guillot and 15 other students have banded together to form the LSU Motocross Club. The club welcomes riders of all skill levels to come ride and continue the sport they love.
You can either go pro or go to college, Alex LeJeune says. “This is a happy medium.”
The club has already talked with four other schools and is moving towards getting the American Motorcycle Association to create a category in races for collegiate competition.
Intercollegiate competition could begin as early as next fall.
